There is a big confusion in Trade about Happy New Year (2014) Opening Day Collections.

Note : Boxofficeindia.com & Boxofficeindia.co.in post only about Hindi Nett collections on there website.
When they post collections of other languges they mention the Version also.

Movie released on 24th Oct 2014.
* On 25th October 12 PM Boxofficeindia.com posted that Happy New Year collected 40 Crore (Hindi) Nett on its first day with headline "Happy New Year Has Extraordinary First Day"
Movie collected 2.35 Crore on its first day in Tamil & Telugu Versions.
So on 25th Oct Opening Day was 40+2.35 = 42.35 Crore (All Versions)

* After that Boxofficeindia.co.in posted Happy New Year Day One collections territory wise
Hindi : 42.62 Crore
Tamil & Telugu : 2.35 Crore
All Versions : 44.97 Crore

* After Weekend Boxofficeindia.com posted "Happy New Year Has Huge First Weekend" in which they said Weekend is around 97 Crore Nett (Hindi).
That means according to Boxofficeindia.com All Versions weekend was 97 crore (Hindi) + 4.75 crore (Tamil Telugu) = 101.75 Crore (All Versions)

* Happy New Year Weekend according to Boxofficeindia.co.in was 102.76 Crore (Hindi) + 4.75 Crore (Tamil & Telugu) = 107.51 Crore (All Versions)

They said Happy New Year collected 36.50 Crore (Hindi) and PK is looking in that range.
After 2 hours they posted one more post in which they said PK had a huge weekend of around 92.50 Crore nett.

* On 23rd Dec 2014 9:00 AM BoxOfficeindia.com posted that PK created history on Sunday by collecting 37.75 Crore highest amount ever in one single day.
In which they decreased Happy New Year opening day collections from 36.50 Crore to 36.37 Crore (Hindi).

* According to Boxofficeindia.co.in PK Sunday collections was 36.06 Crore & Weekend was 89.13 Crore.

* In 2016 Boxofficeindia.com again reduced Happy New Year First Day collections from 36.37 Crore to 36.31 Crore (Hindi).

If you Follow Boxofficeindia.com then Happy New Year opening day manipulation was 2.62 Crore on 25th Oct ... 6.12 Crore Crore on 22nd Dec.... 6.25 Crore on 23rd Dec ... & 6.31 Crore after 2016.
If you follow Boxofficeindia.co.in then there was no manipulation on Opening Day.
But there is 7.96 Crore manipulation in Lifetime collections.
